Please complete the following membership application form to be considered for membership to the Butler County Bar Association.
Any Member in good standing of the Bar of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania may become a member of the Association if he or she either maintains a primary office in Butler County, Pennsylvania, for the practice of law, is employed in Butler County, PA, in the legal profession, or resides in Butler County, PA.

Butler County Bar Association Membership Tiers
Full Membership - $125.00 (PBA Dues are additional fee)
Any eligible attorney member in good standing of the Bar of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, who either: (a) maintains a primary office in Butler County, Pennsylvania, for the practice of law, (b) is employed in Butler County, PA, in the legal profession, or (c) resides in Butler County, PA. A “primary” office shall mean that a lawyer spends at least 50% of his/her professional time at such office. Full membership entitles the member attorney to all membership privileges, including, inter alia, attendance at BCBA social functions; attendance at quarterly organizational meetings, voting privileges, the right, if elected, to hold office and to serve on the Executive Committee, access to free meeting space at BCBA offices; free basic attorney listing on website; free electronic subscription to Butler County Legal Journal and member rates for attendance at any BCBA sponsored continuing education seminars.
Associate Membership - $125.00 (PBA Dues are additional fee)
Any eligible attorney member in good standing of the Bar of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania who: (a) does not maintain a primary office in Butler County, Pennsylvania, for the practice of law, (b) is not employed in Butler County, PA, in the legal profession, or (c) does not reside in Butler County, PA, but does practice law in Butler County. Associate Membership entitles the associate member to attendance at BCBA sponsored social functions; attendance at quarterly organizational meetings; free basic attorney listing on website; free electronic subscription to Butler County Legal Journal; and member rates for attendance at any BCBA sponsored continuing education seminar. Associate Members shall not have the right to vote or to hold office in the Association, and as otherwise limited by the Board of Directors.
Court/Government/Non-Profit Membership in Butler County - $100.00 (PBA Dues are additional fee)
Any eligible attorney member who qualifies for Full Membership and works for any Court, Governmental Department or qualified 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation in Butler County qualifies for this reduced rate. All Full Membership privileges apply.
Friend of the Bar Membership - $100.00
Eligible non-attorney professional leaders of the business and legal community who interact with lawyers, such as County Row Officers, Mediators, CPAs, Investigators, Paraprofessionals. Friend of the Bar Membership entitles the member to attend all social functions or BCBA sponsored continuing education seminars at member rates.
Trial Membership - $50.00
This non-voting attorney membership is available only to newly admitted eligible practitioners, admitted within the past three years. This membership is meant to encourage participation in the bar association and is effective for the remainder of any calendar year in which the practitioner joins. The practitioner can elect to become a voting member at any time during the trial membership by paying the full annual dues of the association. All Full Membership privileges apply except the right to vote or to hold office, and as otherwise limited by the Board of Directors.
Student Membership - $25.00
Any eligible accredited law school student interested in pursuing a legal career upon graduation/certification. All Full Membership privileges apply except the right to vote or to hold office, and as otherwise limited by the Board of Directors.
