On July 16, 1959 by Order of President Judge Cylde S. Shumaker the Butler County Legal Journal was declared the official legal publication for Butler County.
Owned and published by the Butler County Bar Association the Journal is published every Friday and serves to inform legal professionals and the public of the filings of lawsuits, openings of estates, terminations of parental rights, mortgage foreclosures, sheriff’s sales, delinquent tax sales, formations of business entities, and more.
We will no longer mail printed hard-copy subscriptions to the BCLJ when Volume 32 ends on July 26, 2024. Beginning August 1, 2024 we will be transitioning to electronic delivery. We encourage you to consider the benefits that a digital subscription offers. Subscribers will receive an easy to read, easy to print, searchable pdf file delivered via email each week – 52 weeks a year.

How do I submit a notice for publication?
