2021 Grant Recipients

It is truly a pleasure to award and reward these projects and their organizations for the great work they do in the community. to Justice and Charity Related Causes

Friends of the Saxonburg Police Department – $4,800.00
To provide tactical rescue training to officers and first responders in the area.

How BCBA Can Help?
Donations for refreshments for attendants, community outreach, PR within the law enforcement community of Butler County

Butler Health System – $5,000.00
BHS is opening a food institute April 2021 to provide nutrition education and access to healthy food as the result of a 2019 needs assessment identifying a significant gap in the community for adequate food access and health education.

How BCBA Can Help?
Voices of support in advocating for the Food Institute. Volunteering in food distribution and transportation. 

Community One Public Safety Training Initiative (COPS-1) – $5,000.00
To provide ongoing officer training for defensive and de-escalation training tactics to the law enforcement community of Butler County, PA and surrounding region.

How BCBA Can Help?
Provide information exchange with Butler County law enforcement and participation at events sponsored
by COPS-1. Donations welcomed and participation in Credit Gives.

South Butler Community Library – $2,500.00
To increase the number and depth of free educational programs to elementary school students by purchasing materials to grow the existing Summer Bridge program and support 175 students instead of the 30 students they have funded in the past.

How BCBA Can Help?
Assistance in advertising their SummerQuest program and Summer Bridge program. Volunteers needed for assembling Summer Bridge and Home kits.

Fishing For Memories, Inc. – $3,000.00
To purchase personal sanitation facilities for the 2021 program, including the installation of a multi-person handwashing station.

Sharing of their promotional video on our social platform and volunteering to help with grounds improvements.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace, Inc. PA-Mars – $2,000.00
Volunteer charitable organization seeking funds for existing program to build twin bed for local children, ages 3-17, who do not have beds.

Join the local chapter (volunteer organization)
