Alexandar D. Malich is a litigation attorney whose primary areas of practice include workers' compensation and traffic defense.
Mr. Malich has successfully represented injured workers throughout the state of Pennsylvania so that they receive and maintain the compensation that they deserve.
Mr. Malich has also represented numerous major insurance carriers and administrators, as well as national, state, and local businesses from a large variety of industries and services, in the area of workers' compensation.
Mr. Malich has also effectively defended many out-of-state CDL drivers accused of major and serious Traffic Offenses while in Pennsylvania, saving driving privileges in their home state.
Mr. Malich holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He attended the Duquesne University School of Law, where he served as Executive Editor of the Duquesne Law Review, interned for the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, and received his Juris Doctor in 1989.
Prior to starting his own practice in 2010, Mr. Malich spent ten years at Malone, Middleman, P.C., where he was a shareholder for five years.
Before accepting that position, Mr. Malich was in-house counsel for Kemper Insurance Companies (1996-2000), and an employee of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Labor and Industry, Office of Chief Counsel. As an employee of the Chief Counsel's office, he was assigned as a law clerk to Workers' Compensation Judge Manager Persifor S. Oliver, Jr. (1994-1996), who oversaw the Judges for the western half of the state.
Prior to his acceptance of this position at the Bureau of Workers' Compensation, Mr. Malich served as a law clerk to the Honorable Joseph Hudock of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania, and represented parties in civil, family, and traffic cases, as well as claimants in workers' compensation matters.
Attorney Malich is assisted by Paralegal Karen Cipalla, who spent 14 years working for the PMA Insurance Group, where she was a Senior Claims Adjuster in the arena of workers' compensation. Prior to that she spent 11 years at Alexsis, Inc., as a Senior Claims Adjuster and Workers' Compensation Supervisor.
